Josiah Thompson, a former Dillon Wildcat and a player at the University of South Carolina announced on social media on Saturday that he was entering the transfer portal.
The statement said:
“I want to begin by thanking God, my family, and all of my coaches for their constant guidance and support throughout this journey. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had at the University of South Carolina and for the relationships, memories, and lessons that have helped shape me both on and off the field. After a lot of thought, I have decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. This was not an easy decision, but I’m confident it’s the right step for my growth as a player and as a person. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and excited for the opportunities that the future holds.”
