Jayden Alford Signs With Averett University

Latta High School’s Jayden Alford signed with Averett University to continue his schooling and football career at the next level on Friday, March 5, at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta. Alford was thankful not only for this opportunity, but also others who offered him.
While Alford was on the Latta High school football program where he excelled in that sport, he also played other sports there.
Alford recalls an incident in Lake View when someone gave him a head tap.
While on the Latta football team, he played wide receiver and free safety. As he transitions to the next level, he will take the knowledge with him that he learned from Coach Iseman. He should fit in well at Averett University as he states “it feels like home.” He will major in Law while enjoying the sport he loves.
When Alford is not studying or practicing or playing football, he enjoys his hobbies.
Alford’s parents, Amanda Godbolt and Michael Alford are very proud of his accomplishments. They look forward to his accomplishments on and off the field in the future.(Photos by Johnnie Daniels/The Dillon County News, LLC)
