JAMBOREE: Red Foxes and Scotts Fight To 14-14 Tie

The Hartsville Red Foxes and the Scotland County Fighting Scotts fought to a 14-14 tie in the fifth game of the Jamboree of Champions played in Dillon on Friday, August 16, at the Dillon Memorial Stadium
Hartsville was dominant in the opening first quarter of play placing 14 points onto the scoreboard but the Scotland County fought back to knot the game at 14 before it was over.
With 7:56 remaining in the first quarter of play, 21st-season Hartsville Head Coach Jeff Calabrese had his Red Foxes on the scoreboard with a 48-yard touchdown by #0. The PAT was good by #80 to give the Red Foxes a 7-0 lead.
With 4:35 remaining in the first quarter, Hartsville’s #3 scored a touchdown. The PAT was good by #80 to give the Red Foxes a 14-0 lead.
Head Coach Richard Bailey’s Scotland County Fighting Scots got onto the scoreboard with a touchdown by #3 as time expired in the first quarter to cut Hartsville’s lead 14-6.
Scotland County’s #82 connected on his PAT to cut the Hartsville lead to 7 points, 14-7.
With 2:31 remaining in the match-up, Scotland County’s #4 carried his reception into the end zone to cut the score to 1 point, 14-13.
Scotland County’s #82’s PAT was good to knot the score at 14.
