The Dillon School Rehab Project by Rehab Builders is progressing well and should be completed by December 31, 2024, according to Project Manager Wes Bellamy and Construction Supervisor Servando Renteria.
The old Dillon West school building, the JV Martin Junior High School building, the gymnasium, and the former Dillon High School building are being restored to former days of glory on a rehab project that began almost 8 months ago. Additionally, the auditorium is being restored.
Much work and planning has gone into this project…and much more work is required.
There will be a total of 37 apartments and guest studio.
The West building will house 7 apartments while the JV Martin Junior High School will house 14 apartments, a guest studio, and a substation for the police department. There will also be 12 apartments, a community space, a game room, a community clinic, a washerette, and space for a future clinic in the old Dillon High School building.
The auditorium owned by the Dillon Historic School Foundation will also be returned to its former glory days by the Rehab Builders.
