BATON ROUGE, LA–Shirley Carolyn Edens, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 19th, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
A long-time resident of Dillon, she spent the last 5 years in Louisiana to be near family.
Moose, as she was affectionately known, was an avid golfer, gardener, walker and pet lover.
She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She especially loved her grandchildren and was very involved in their activities.
Carolyn is survived by her 4 children: Joseph (Leanne), Tim (Julie), Susan, and Laura (Charles); grandchildren Mackenzie (Adam), Sarah (Cameron), Emily (Patrick), Austin and Alexandra; and great-grandchildren Cal, Jack, Caleb, Levi and Shiloh.
She is preceded in death by her husband Melvin, her parents Adrian and Ethel Ivey Stafford, and siblings Richard (Dicky) Stafford, Adrian Stafford and Sarah Arnette.
A burial service will be held on Saturday, April 5th at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Perpetual Care Cemetery in Dillon for friends and family.
