IN MEMORIAM: Mrs. Nina Osteen Stuckey

Mrs. Nina Osteen Stuckey, 79, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was the daughter of the late LaVal and Beulah Osteen of Dillon, SC. She was also predeceased by her husband, William Addison Stuckey, Jr., her son, William Addison Stuckey III, and her two sisters, Valerie Osteen Guy and Ann Osteen Sawyer.
Mrs. Stuckey was a graduate of Dillon High School and Brenau College in Georgia. She graduated with a degree in early education, and was an avid reader. During their fifty-five years of marriage, she and Bill shared countless memories on the water, from boating adventures on Santee, to the BVI’s, and in the waters around Georgetown. She was a heavily involved member of the Georgetown First Presbyterian Church, serving the congregation in numerous ways. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she dedicated countless hours to nurturing others. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family and faith. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to her two grandsons, Jack and William.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Stuckey Lynn (Douglas) of Dillon, SC; two grandchildren: John Douglas Lynn, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC and William Stuckey Lynn of Greenville, SC.
The family would like to express special thanks to McLeod Hospice, and the staff of The Manor for their exemplary care of Mrs. Stuckey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Ingram Chapel at The Manor in Florence, SC.
