Mary “Raye” Ruth Bracey
June 5, 1941 – August 30, 2024
HAMER – Mary Ruth “Raye” Bracey, 83, passed away at her home August 30, 2024. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Oakland Methodist Church in Hamer, SC with interment in the church cemetery. Mike Summerlin will be officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Raye was born in Dillon County June 5, 1941, the daughter of the late Charlie Nash Collins and Mary McLeod Berry Collins. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and caring for her potted plants and flowers. Mrs. Bracey was the widow of Alton Dewey Bracey.
Raye is survived by her son Charles H. Bracey of Hamer, SC; daughter Susie Bracey Moore (William) of Latta, SC; sisters Diana Evans (Ray) of Hamer, SC and Barbara Herring of Hamer, SC; grandson, Joshua Moore of Latta, SC; sister-in-law, Mary Collins of Hamer, SC; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Buddy Collins and Eddie Collins.
