LATTA–Margaret Ellen Hayes, 71, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Catfish Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, December 30, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Martin and Emma Powers Martin. She was the widow of the late Gerald E. Hayes, Sr.
Survivors include her brother, Fredrick “Teenie” Martin (Rita) of Latta; sisters, Doris Ann Anderson of Pennsylvania, & Jane Williamson (Dale) of Latta; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Martin of Latta & Sandra Martin both of Latta; several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie & Emma Martin; husband, Gerald E. Hayes, Sr.; son, Gerald E. “Eddie” Hayes, Jr.; sister, Emma Lee Martin; brothers, Johnny Edward Martin & Jerry Martin.
