Mack Thomas Jackson, 58, ran into the arms of Jesus on July 31, 2024 after battling a sudden illness at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Mack peacefully left this world surrounded by family and close friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Viewing will be open to those who wish to come immediately before the service. Visitation will be immediately folllowing the service at the gravesite.
Born in Dillon, SC, April 5, 1966, Mack was a life-long native of Dillon, SC. He was a die-hard Clemson fan with a kind heart and compassionate spirit. He was the son of the late William Lester Jackson, Sr. and Ruth Huggins Jackson. Employed by Jabs Fireworks, he was loved by the community and all who crossed his path whether it be in the line at Jabs or stopping in for coffee at the River Store. Despite battles of his own, Mack never met a stranger and left a smile on the faces of everyone he came across.
Survivors include his brother, Les Jackson (Barbara Ann) of Dillon; nieces and nephews, Billy Jackson, Leslie Smith (Joey), and Kristin Jackson; step-nephew, Kirby Hawkins; great-nephews, Landon Jackson, Asher Jackson, Easton Smith and Maddox Smith; special friends, Conner & Sarah Bracey; and numerous cousins.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents, William Lester Jackson, Sr. and Ruth Huggins Jackson; and his step-nephew, Will Hawkins.
