Jerry Clifton Byrd, 69, passed away Monday November 18, 2024, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, November 7, 1955, he was the son of the late William Joseph Byrd and Nellie Grace Gilbert Byrd. Jerry was retired from construction and he was a pipe fitter.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Susan Byrd of Latta; stepson, Christopher Skinner of Farmville, NC; sisters, Ellen Godbold of Latta, Florence Weatherford (Henry) of Latta, Dawn Peacock (Steven) of Latta, & Georgia Rouse (Jeff) of Greenville, NC; brother, Berry Byrd (Elizabeth) of Latta; 5 grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph & Nellie Grace Gilbert Byrd; sister, Doris Byrd; brothers, Virgil Byrd & Larry Yow; brother-in-law, Jackie Godbold.
