ALBEMARLE, NC-Edna Delores Smith, 84, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle, NC.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, December 26, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Grady Bracey and Lucy Walker McKellar Bracey.
Survivors include her son, Mitchell Rowell of Gretna, VA; daughter, Amanda Barbee (Kelly) of Oakboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Sherry Rowell Day; grandchildren, Erin Oxendine (Ryan), Josh Rowell, Ethan Rowell, Walker Barbee, and Shelby Barbee; great-grandchildren, William Dasan Oxendine, Kimber Oxendine, and Stella Rowell; brothers, Jimmy Bracey and Sammy Bracey.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith; son, William Rowell; brothers, Alfred Bracey and Marion Bracey; and her sisters, Diane Rowell and Linda Rice.
