LITTLE RIVER- Cynthia Jane Elvington 66, passed away Wednesday March 26, 2025 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River SC after a long illness. Funeral services will be graveside on Tuesday April 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon. Her cousin, the Rev. Joe B. Elvington will be officiating the service. The family will greet friends and family immediately after the service. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Cynthia (Cindy) was born November 16, 1958 in Dillon, SC to the late Kenneth Rogers Elvington and Jane Bryant Elvington of Dillon. She was a 1977 graduate of Dillon high school and Florence Darlington Technical College. She worked many years at the Dillon child Development Center, and with Blue Cross in Florence before her health declined. She was a member of Main Street Methodist Church. Ms. Elvington is survived by two brothers, Kenneth R. Elvington Jr. and his wife Paula of Dillon, Timothy Elvington and his wife Tammy of Calabash, NC formally of Dillon. A niece, Alana Morgan Elvington (Justin) of Calabash. A nephew, Bryant T. Elvington (Tulsi) of Florence. Three great nieces, Addison, Harper, and Bethany Turner of Calabash.
