Betty Jean Dillon Anderson, age 80, of Dillon, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 17, 1945, in Dillon, SC, to the late William Lacy Dillon and Bertha Nancy Dillon.
Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, strength, and kindness shaped generations of her family. She was married to James M. Anderson, and was the cherished mother of Tammy Bailey-Byrd.
Betty worked for many years with Wix Filters and also held a florist license—a reflection of her lifelong passion for flowers. She found great joy in tending to her yard and garden, where she spent countless peaceful hours nurturing and arranging the blooms she loved so dearly.
A woman of strong faith, Betty was a dedicated member of the Holiness Church, where she found comfort, community, and spiritual strength throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Bailey-Byrd; her grandchildren, Alexandria Schneider and Jonathan Byrd; and her great-grandchildren, Gabriel Schneider and Annabelle Schneider, who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her enduring love for family, her creativity, and her deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon, SC. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate her life.
