Barbara Larue Sweat Parker, 58, passed away at the McLeod Medical Center in Dillon surrounded by her family August 21, 2025. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2025 in the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Barbara was born in Florence, SC March 16, 1967, the daughter of the late Jack Sweat and Barbara Ann Owens Sweat. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Michael Allen Parker of the home; daughters, Charlene “Button” Sweat (Tony) of Florence, SC and Jackie Sweat (C.J.) of Dillon, SC; brothers, Jack Sweat Jr. (Brenda) of Marion, SC, and James “Buzzy” Sweat of Dillon, SC; sisters, Glenda Bryant (Henry) of Marion, SC and Debbie Jo Yarborough, of Dillon, SC; brother-in-law, Bobby Lovett; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Bella, Taco, and Pee Wee..
She was predeceased by her sister Eva Marie Lovett, and grandchild, Miranda Lewellen.
