Hope For Youth held a Back-To-School Giveaway on Saturday, July 19, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Latta. Lines were long as numerous people turned out for the event. Approximately 200-300 have turned out for past events. Families stopped at different stations where children received bookbags; supplies such as paper, pencils, crayons, etc.; and many items suitable for school. There were free slushies to enjoy in the summer heat as well as popcorn. Plates of food were also being given away. It was a fantastic event to help students get off on the right foot for the new school year.
