The Hoke County Bucks of Raeford, N.C., defeated the Dillon Christian School Warriors 66-56 in the West Bladen Off Road Tournament on Thursday, December 26.
The loss ended the 4-game win streak for the Warriors. After the loss, Dillon Christian School is 6-5 for the season, and Hoke County is 5-6 for the season.
The Warriors’ Jackson Outlar connected for 27 points to lead the scoring for the Warriors. He hit seven 2-point baskets, three 3-point baskets, and 4 free throws. He also had 2 rebounds and an assist. Thompson Stone placed 20 points onto the scoreboard as he sank three 3-point baskets, three 2-point baskets, and 5 free throws. He had 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Braxton Cummings added three 2-point baskets for 6 points plus he had 5 rebounds and a steal. Reese Bracey had a 2-point basket, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. M. Sampson had a free throw and a rebound. Jordan Blackmon had 2 rebounds and an assist.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel to face the Pee Dee Golden Eagles on January 7 at 7:00 p.m. Hoke County will face Southern Lee on January 7 at 7:30 p.m.
