The Hemingway Tigers defeated the Lake View Wild Gators 50-43 in varsity boys basketball played in Lake View on Wednesday, February 5.
Hemingway’s Nasir Brooks led the Tigers with 14. X. Washington connected for 13 points. Jabari Pearson added 12 points, 2 offensive rebounds, 2 defensive rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots. Romance Hanna place 5 points onto the scoreboard, and Jalyrious Bell added 3 points. Jamer Wright had 2 points, and Deon Nesmith connected for a free throw, a defensive rebound, an offensive rebound, and 2 assists.
Hemingway is 5-12 overall and 4-5 in region play.
Lake View will host Green Sea Floyds High School on Friday, February 7, at 8:15 p.m.
Hemingway will host Carvers Bay on Friday, February 7, at 8:00 p.m.
