The Hannah-Pamplico Lady Raiders handed the Lake View Lady Wild Gators a 12-1 loss in the run-ruled shortened varsity softball playoff game held in Pamplico on Friday, May 16.
Hannah-Pamplico held Lake View scoreless in the top of the first inning and placed 4 runs onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning. Neither team could muster a score in the second inning. Lake View added a run in the top of the third inning. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Hannah-Pamplico connected for 4 runs to take an 8-1 lead. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Lady Raiders added a run. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Hannah-Pamplico tacked on another run to close out the game with a victory.
Lake View managed 3 hits in the game while Hannah-Pamplico connected for 12 hits.
Lake View did not commit an error in the game while Hannah-Pamplico committed only 1 error.
Hannah-Pamplico’s Kadence Poston pitched 6 innings and allowed 3 hits, 1 earned run, walked 2, and struck out 10 while racing only 23 batters in the game.
The Raiders’ Chloe Cooper hit a home run and collected 3 rbi in her 3 at-bats. Meredith Stone hit a home run, 3 rbi, and scored 3 runs in her 4 plate appearances. Payten Poston had 2 hits, 2 rbi, and scored a run in her 4 at-bats. Allie Nettles had 2 hits, a rbi, and scored a run in her 3 at-bats. Freshman London Lee had 2 hits and scored a run in her 3 at-bats. Logan Owens had a hit, 2 rbi, and scored a run in her 3 at-bats. Kadence Poston had a hit and scored a run in her 3 at-bats. Savannah Owens had a hit, a walk, and scored a run in her 4 plate appearances. Jaden Lee had 2 hits and 2 walks in her 4 plate appearances.
Hannah-Pamplico will travel to Latta on Monday, May 19, for a 6:00 p.m. game.
