The Hannah-Pamplico Lady Raiders edged the Latta Lady Vikings 3-2 in varsity softball action on Wednesday, May 15.
Hannah-Pamplico got on the board in the second inning after Kadence Poston hit a sac fly that scored a run, and Karah Turner singled that also scored a run.
The Lady Raiders added a run in the third inning on a wild pitch to go up 3-0.
Erika Roberts hit a home run in the fifth inning to get Latta onto the scoreboard.
In the sixth inning, Maddie Berry connected for a single to centerfield, Paisley Jackson hit a line drive to left, Aggy Hyatt hit a single on a line drive to left, and a run scored to cut the Lady Raiders lead to 2, 3-2.
Hannah-Pamplico’s Kadence Poston picked up the win. She pitched 7 innings and allowed 9 hits, 2 runs, struck out 9, and walked 2.
Maddie Berry took the loss for the Lady Vikings. She pitched 7 innings and allowed 3 runs, 3 hits, struck out 12, and walked 4.
Latta committed 1 error in the game, and Hannah-Pamplico did not commit an error.
