Gresham Man Charged In Burglary, Assault and Battery, and More By Marion County Sheriff’s Office

Robert Lee Willis, Jr., age 46 years old of Gresham, has been arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Shortly after 9:00 Monday morning, Marion County deputies were dispatched to a home in the area of Highway 908 for a Breaking and Entering in progress. It is alleged that Robert Lee Willis, Jr., entered a home without permission and violently attacked a female occupant. A neighbor intervened, but in the meantime, the suspect fled the scene in the neighbor’s truck.
Deputies and investigators saturated the area and quickly located the suspect a short distance away. Willis was detained immediately. While Willis was being booked into the Marion County Detention Center, it is alleged that while handcuffed, he attacked a staff member.
Willis has been charged with Burglary 1st degree, Grand Larceny, value of $10,000 or more, Assault and Battery 1st degree, and Assault and Battery 2nd degree.
