Grand Opening Of Q&J’s BBQ + More Held

The grand opening of Q&J’s BBQ + More in Dillon was held on Thursday morning. A large crowd gathered for the occasion.
Dillon County Council Chairwoman Detrice Dawkins said she had known Pastor John Graves for a long time. She said he was very ambitious and made great food. She is excited about this new business coming to Dillon County. She said he was a person who loves the community, and she thanked him for what he is doing.
City of Dillon Mayor Tally McColl congratulated the Graves on their new business and said this restaurant was a great addition to the City of Dillon and said the food was delicious.
Jackie McKenzie of the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce Board welcomed the new business to the Chamber.
Charlie Vance, a local veteran and former banker, said he had tried the food and it was very good.
Qu’Ranah Graves thanked everyone for supporting their new business.
Pastor John Graves said there was a time when he couldn’t see this day coming, but he gave God the praise for making it happen. He said he honored his parents. His dad taught them to make the sauce, and his mother taught them how to cook. he said it had been a long journey, but God smiled on them and blessed them. He then thanked several people individually in the audience and thanked everyone for their support.
After the ribbon cutting and remarks, everyone got to go inside to see the restaurant and sample some items.
