Gia’s Horse Racing Gets Off To Late Start

The Gia’s Horse Races got off to a late start on Saturday, March 8, due to the rain on Wednesday and a burst water pipe.
The Gia’s team was hard at work re-arranging the starting gate and adding sand/dirt to the track and used tractors with attachments to help smooth the track.
The weather was almost perfect but sometimes windy.
There were 8 races at the Gia Training Center. The first race was 2-year-olds. The second race was 3-year-old Maidens. The third race was 3-year-old Open. The fourth race was 69 and Down. The fifth race was 69 and Down. The fifth race was 79 and Down. The sixth race was 89 and Down. The seventh race was an Open Race and 870 Race. The eighth race was a Four-furlong Thoroughbred Race.
There were vendors with food and items for sale. Also, there were fun games for kids.
Everyone had a great time.
Gia’s Training Center is located at 206 Old Hamer, Road, Hamer, S.C.
