Four People Arrested In Connection With Murder At Pantry West

Ja’Heem Antwan Pernell, 19, of Hamer has been charged and arrested. He is charged with Armed Robbery, Murder and Possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Aaliyah Antwan Priest, 22, of Hamer has been charged and arrested. She is charged with Armed Robbery and Murder.
Ja’Heem Pernell and Aaliyah Priest were arrrested this evening around 4:30pm from Rosewood Apartments in the City of Dillon.
Monika Alexis Lee, 24, from Dillon has been charged and arrested for accessory after the fact of murder.
On June 26th, 2025 around 2:47 p.m., Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Pantry West at South of the Border. Upon arrival, Deputies located a female victim with a gunshot wound deceased. The victim was identified as Patricia Hayes Britt, 61 from the Blenheim area of Marlboro County.
In the early stage of the investigation Detectives were able to identify multiple suspect’s in this case.
On June 26th,2025, Detectives charged and arrested Tina Rebecca Pernell, 39, of Hamer with Accessory after the fact of Murder. Upon further investigation she has also been charged with accessory before the fact of murder.
All suspects are being held in the Dillon County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
This is a senseless crime and the investigation is ongoing.
