Four Latta High School Student-Athletes signed to play at the next level in their education and careers.
The signing took place at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta on Thursday, March 5.
Family, friends, coaches, and school officials were present for the special occasion.
Latta High School Athletic Director, Robbie Brown, was in charge. He welcomed and thanked everyone for being present.
He had high remarks for all four of the student-athletes. “We are extremely proud of all of these,” stated Brown.
He remarked “Jayden Alford and Xy’Mari Bethea were on the football team when it was not so great and then when the team set records.”
He stated “Madison Stevens is one of the first, if not the first, to sign for a volleyball scholarship from Latta High School.”
“Samantha Townsend is every coach’s dream. She does not like losing! She was All-Region on the volleyball team and a softball great,” exclaimed AD Brown.
Brown said it’s an honor for us to be here to give these student-athletes the best 6 years of their lives!
As they embark on the next part of their careers, we cannot wait to see what each one will accomplish.
Thank you all, Jayden Alford, Xy’Mari Bethea, Madison Stevens, and Samantha Townsend, for your time with us at Latta High School.
Latta High School Varsity Football Coach Brandon Iseman echoed Athletic Director Robbie Brown’s comments. Coach Iseman remarked that Jayden Alford and Xy’Mari Bethea had put in the work, and they deserved this. We are thankful for their contributions to our football program and all they achieved while here. We look forward to their future accomplishments.
