The Florence Christian School Eagles edged the Dillon Christian School Warriors 30-27 in the final seconds of the game on a field goal in Florence on Friday, August 23.
The Warriors led 6-0 after the first quarter of play in the game. Each team scored 13 points in the second quarter. At halftime, DCS enjoyed 19-13 lead.
In the third quarter Dillon garnered 8 points from a touchdown and a 2-point rushing conversion while Florence connected for a touchdown and a PAT to give DCS a 27-20 lead. In the final quarter Florence Christian School added a touchdown and a PAT to tie the score. In the final seconds of the game, Florence Christian School captured the win on a field goal.
Dillon Christian School had 44 total plays in the game while Florence Christian School had 62 plays. The Warriors had 7 first downs while Florence Christian School had 19 first downs.
