Woodmen Life of Dillon donated a large American flag, with stand and flag accessories, to the Dillon Veterans of the Year group for their meetings. The Veterans of the Year meet at Southern Fried periodically to plan Memorial Day, Patriot Day, and Veterans Day programs. VOY 2015 Levern Hayes had been using a small stick flag for the pledge of allegiance during meetings, but asked Woodmen Life to consider contributing a larger flag. Woodmen Life Representative David Longacre immediately agreed, and in giving the flag to the Veterans of the Year said, “We appreciate the opportunity to support the Dillon Veterans of the Year and all that they do for Veterans.” Pictured L-R are VOY 2020 Asa McDuffie, Mr. David Longacre of Woodmen Life, and VOY 2015 Levern Hayes.
