Filing For Four Seats On Dillon City Council Starts January 24th

Filing for four seats on the Dillon City Council begin on Friday, January 24 at 12 noon and will close at 12 noon on Monday, February 3rd.
Filing is during regular business hours. This is a non-partisan election.
The District One seat is on the ballot. This was held by James Washington and was vacated after winning a seat on Dillon County Council. The term for this seat expires in April 2027.
The other seats are District Three, currently held by Johnny Eller; the District Five seat, currently held by Jay David; and the District Six seat, currently held by Phil Wallace. The terms on these seats will expire in April 2029.
The election will take place on Tuesday, April 8th. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. If a run-off is necessary, it would take place on Tuesday, April 22nd,
The polling places are as follows:
-Districts One and Three-Dillon County Fire Station One (201 West Howard Street, Dillon) and Dillon Middle School (1803 Joan Drive, Dillon)
-District Five- Dillon City W.B. Carmichael Fire Station (209 South Eighth Avenue, Dillon) and Dillon Middle School (1803 Joan Drive, Dillon)
-District Six- Dillon Middle School (1803 Joan Drive, Dillon)
Citizens who wish to vote in this election must be registered to vote by March 8, 2025.
