Fairmont Defeats Dillon 64-46 In The Robeson County Shootout Championship Game

The 10-1 Fairmont Lady Golden Tornadoes defeated the 8-2 Dillon Lady Wildcats 64-46 to win the Robeson County Shootout Championship game played on Saturday, December 20.
Dillon had a 5-point lead, 15-10, after the first quarter of play. At halftime, Dillon trailed 30-26. After 3 quarters of play, Fairmont was up 47-35.
Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all scorers with 20 points. She had six 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 5 free throws. J. McGill added 9 points to the scoreboard with three 2-point baskets and 3 free throws. K. McKinnon had 8 points with two 2-point baskets and she was perfect at the free throw led with 4 free throws. Z. Pernell had a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket for 5 points. A. Ford had a 3-point basket.
Fairmont’s A. McLean led the Lady Golden Tornadoes with 18 points. She had four 3-point baskets and three 2-point baskets. McNair added 13 points with five 2-point baskets and 3 free throws. Dial added a 3-point basket, two 2-point basket, and 2 free throws for 9 points. K. McLean had two 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and a free throw for 8 points. Smith had three 2-point baskets and a free throw for 7 points. Duran had two 2-point baskets and 2 free throws for 6 points. Grady had a 2-point basket and a free throw for 3 points.

Dillon will play East Clarendon on Friday, December 26 at 11:30 a.m. Dillon will also play Baptist Hill at 4:00 p.m.
Fairmont will travel to Scotland on January 5 for a 6:00 p.m. game.
