Dr. Richard Blackaby was the guest speaker at Latta Baptist Church on Sunday, April 13, for the 10:30 a.m. morning worship service on Palm Sunday.
Dr. Blackaby is the President of Blackaby Ministries International, Co-Author of “Experiencing God” Revised Edition, and speaks all over the world to help people understand what it means to “Experience God” in an intimate and personal relationship. He has served as a pastor, Seminary President, and has authored or co-authored over 40 books.
The service bgan with the prelude was “Rejoice, the Lord is King.”
Rev. Rob Pierce welcomed everyone to the service.
Rev. Pierce had the announcements including the Easter Lilies that were given in honor or in in memory of loved ones. He reminded everyone of the 2025 Golf Tournament at Camp PInehill on Friday, May 30, and of Senior Adult Day at Camp Pinehill on Monday, May 8th, at 11:30. He also reminded everyone of events at Latta Baptist Church for the upcoming week including Pastor’s Luncheon on Monday, April 14, with Dr. Richard Blackaby. As Spring break is this week, there will be no meetings or rehearsals on Wednesday, April 16. On Thursday, April 17, there will be a Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. The Latta Baptist Youth will have a Glow In The Dark Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, at 8:00 p.m. at the Deaver’s House. On Sunday, April 20, the day will begin with a SonRise Service followed by breakfast and worship service.
Happy Birthday was sung to those of Latta Baptist Church who are celebrating birthdays this week.
The congregation sang “How He Loves You And Me”.
Rev. Rob Pierce offered a prayer.
The Church completed a study, “Experiencing God” that was taught by Dr. Richard Blackaby this weekend.
The congregation sang “At The Cross”.
The LBC sang “Jesus Messiah”.
The Church enjoyed an Annie Armstrong Easter Offering Video that was followed by prayer by Rev. Rob Pierce.
Rev. Rob Pierce introduced Dr. Richard Blackaby, the speaker of the day. He gave a powerful message.
At the conclusion, an Invitation was given followed by the Benediction and the Postlude.
