From The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office
On March 3rd, 2025, Dillon County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Lake View area of Dillon County, in reference to a domestic violence call with shots fired.
Upon Deputy’s arrival they observed a male subject walking away from a vehicle in the yard. The subject explained to deputies that he was getting in his vehicle to leave as law enforcement was arriving. The male subject was detained.
During the investigation, deputies were able to determine there was a domestic dispute and the subject had a handgun during the incident. Deputies did locate two spent .380 shell casings as well as an unfired bullet inside of the residence.
Deputies were able to locate a .380 caliber pistol in the vehicle and upon running the serial number through Central Dispatch, it came back stolen out of Lexington County, SC.
Upon deputies running the license plate through Central Dispatch, it came back to a different vehicle. Upon running the VIN on the vehicle through Central Dispatch the vehicle came back stolen out of Charlotte-Mecklenburg, NC.
During a towed inventory of the vehicle, deputies also located multiple baggies in the drivers side door panel, containing the following; approximately 49 grams of what field tested positive and believed to be fentanyl, approximately 4.8 grams of what field tested positive and believed to be methamphetamine, and approximately 11.5 grams of what field tested positive and believed to be cocaine.
The subject was identified as Eric Ty’Von Dixon, 30, of Dillon, SC. Dixon was charged and arrested for the following: Domestic Violence 1st Degree, Possession of a stolen pistol, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, distribution of methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine 10 grams but less than 28 grams, and trafficking fentanyl 28 grams or more.
Dixon is being held in the Dillon County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Through their hard work and dedication, a very dangerous situation was difused, a stolen vehicle and stolen handgun were recovered and multiple illegal narcotics were seized, keeping them from being circulated throughout Dillon County.
Domestic Violence Call Leads To Arrest On Multiple Charges
