The Dillon Wildcats won 14-2 over the visiting Carvers Bay Bears on Friday, March 6, at Dillon Memorial Stadium in the 5-inning varsity baseball action.
The Wildcats placed 12 runs onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning and added a run in the bottom of the second inning and a run in the bottom of the third inning.
Carvers Bay placed 2 runs onto the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning.
Carvers Bay’s J. Waterman and C. Thompson each had a hit in the game. C. Thompson and K. Moore each scored a run in the game. J. Waterman and E. Young each had a stolen base in the game.
Dillon’s #1 began on the mound for the Wildcats. Dillon’s #5 replaced the starting pitcher.
The Bears had 3 pitchers in the game: J. Waterman, R. Miller, and K. Moore.
The Bears committed 6 errors in the game.
The Dillon Wildcats will host Darlington on Tuesday, March 10, at 6:30 p.m. Dillon will travel to Darlington on Friday, March 13, for a 6:00 p.m. game.
The Carvers Bay Bears will travel to Hannah Pamplico on Monday, March 9, for a 6:00 p.m. game. The Bears will travel to Waccamaw on Wednesday, March 11, for a 6:30 p.m. game. On Friday, March 13, the Bears will host Hannah Pamplico at 6:00 p.m.
