The Dillon Wildcats defeated the visiting Socastee Braves 41-0 in varsity football action played in Dillon on Friday, August 29.
The Dillon Wildcats jumped out to an early lead on a 51-yard pass from Khayel Sam Fong-Talia to Zamaurious Robertson. The PAT was good by Jayden Lester. Dillon led 7-0. Dominick Felton added an 18-yard run. Jayden Lester PAT was no good. Dillon was up 13-0 and that’s the way the score would be after the first quarter.
The second quarter was totally Dillon offense as they added 28 points to the scoreboard. Daniel Capehart had a 4-yard rushing TD. The PAT was good by Jayden Lester to give Dillon a 20-0 lead. A 37-yard pass from Khayel Sam Fong-Talia to Rike Niyongabo made the score 26-0. Jayden Lester’s PAT was good to give the Wildcats a 27-0 lead. Daniel Capehart added a 34-yard run for 6 points. Jayden Lester’s PAT was good. Dillon was up 34-0. The final score of the second quarter was a 51-yard pass to Zamaurious Robertson from Khayel Sam Fong-Talia. The PAT was good by Jaden Lester. Dillon led 41-0 at the half which would be the final score of the game.
