Released on November 3, 2025, by the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee, report cards offer families, community members, and educators an extensive look at statewide performance. The South Carolina School Report Cards provide an in-depth look into how schools are progressing toward the state’s short-term and long-term goals. Indicators used to rate schools as Excellent, Good, Average, Below Average, or Unsatisfactory include academic achievement, preparing for success, multi-lingual progress, student progress, college and career readiness, graduation rate, high school success, and school climate.
DSD4 schools demonstrated positive growth in many key areas with five of the six schools receiving at least one Good or Excellent rating for one of the key indicators. Three schools—Dillon High School, Lake View Elementary School, and Lake View Middle School—improved one full rating, while Lake View High School improved two—from Below Average to Good.
This type of progress does not occur by chance. It is a result of intentional effort and a deep belief all students can learn. Staff efforts and academic programs have led to significant improvements in the areas of academic achievement, College and Career Readiness, graduation rate, and school climate, but the dedication of quality teachers was the true catalyst behind these improvements. With a strong sense of community and family, teachers and staff members alike pour into students each day to improve outcomes and ensure students are equipped with the tools necessary to become successful citizens.
Dillon School District Four is extremely proud of its schools and will continue to analyze and leverage school report card data to implement tiered support systems, offer diverse opportunities for student engagement, align professional learning, and strengthen support across all schools. To address deficiencies and improve the overall rating for next school year, the district will work with schools to create Continuous Improvement Plans.
