City of Dillon Mayor Tally McColl will sign a proclamation on April 5th at 11:00 a.m. on the steps of the Dillon County Courthouse proclaiming April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The public is invited to this event.
According to the Child Welfare Information Gateway, “National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevention services and supports developed by this collaboration can help parents, other caregivers, and communities protect children and strengthen families.”
