The Dillon Lady Wildcats edged the visiting Marion Lady Swamp Foxes 56-52 in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Saturday, December 13.
Dillon had an 18-5 lead after the first quarter. At halftime, Dillon led by 13 points, 29-16. After 3 quarters of play Dillon led 49-30.
Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all scorers with 26 points. She had ten 2-point baskets and two 3-point baskets. Alyssa Lee had four 2-point baskets for 8 points. Azyriah Ford had a 3-point basket and a free throw to add 4 points to the scoreboard. Jaleah Bethea had a 2-point basket. Jiana McGill added a free throw.
Marion’s M. Williams led the Lady Swamp Foxes with 17 points. She had six 2-point baskets and 5 free throws. S. McKelvy added 14 points with two 2-point-baskets, three 3-point baskets, and a free throw. K. Shaw had four 2-point baskets and 3 free throws for 11 points. L. Avant had two 2-point baskets. A. Gause had a 2-point basket and 2 free throws for 4 points. S. Bethea had a 2-point basket.
Dillon will host Purnell Swett on Wednesday, December 17.
Marion will host HHEHS on December 22.
