The Dillon Lady Wildcats won 57-51 over the East Clarendon Lady Wolverines in varsity basketball tournament play at Manning High School on Friday, December 26.
Dillon’s Khw-Nylahi McKinnon led the Lady Wildcats with 19 points. She had six 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 1 free throw. Treasure Davis added 17 points to the scoreboard with three 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 5 free throws. Azyriah Ford and Zynijah Pernell each had two 3-point baskets for 6 points each. Jiana McGill had two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Nylann Jones had a 2-point basket and a free throw for 3 points. Jaleah Bethea had a 2-point basket.
East Clarendon’s C. Cocron led all scorers with 23 points. She had eight 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and a free throw. B. Hicks added 11 points with two 3-point baskets, two 2-point baskets and a free throw. A. Fleming had two 3-point baskets and a 2-point basket for 8 points. D. Hunnford had two 2-point baskets for 4 points. T. Cooper connected for a 3-point basket.
