The Dillon Lady Wildcats won over the Georgetown Lady Bulldogs 64-31 in varsity basketball played in Dillon on Tuesday, February 11.
Dillon controlled the tipoff and quickly placed 4 points onto the scoreboard and never trailed in the game. Dillon was up 11-4 with 3:46 remaining in the first quarter. By the end of the first quarter, Dillon was up 15-7. Each team committed 3 fouls in the first quarter. At halftime, Dillon had increased the lead 28-13. Each team once again committed 3 fouls each. At the end of the third quarter, Dillon led 53-21. Dillon committed 3 fouls in the third quarter, and Georgetown was guilty of only 1 foul. In the fourth quarter, neither team committed a foul.
Dillon’s Khwnylahi McKinnon led Dillon with 20 points. She had eight 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and a free throw. Mariah Campbell placed 18 points onto the scoreboard with six 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and sank 3 of 4 free throws. Treasure Davis added 15 points with six 2-point baskets and 3 of 4 free throws. Ayonna Lester had three 2-point baskets and a free throw for 7 points. Zadaiya Moody and Kiasia McLeod each connected for a 2-point basket.
The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by G. Neveah with three 3-point baskets, three 2-point baskets, and 5 of 6 free throws for 20 points. F. Satcher added a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket for 5 points. D. Tacarra had a 2-point basket and 2 free throws for 4 points. J. Tiondra and H. Mikayln each had a 2-point basket.
