Dillon Lady Wildcats Edge Crestwood Lady Knights

The Dillon Lady Wildcats edged the Crestwood Lady Knights 41-39 in a closely contested varsity basketball action played on Saturday, December 27, in Manning in tournament play.
Dillon trailed by a slim point, 12-11, after the first quarter of play. At halftime, Dillon was up by 2 points, 21-19. After 3 quarters of play, Dillon was up by 3, 31-28.
Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all scorers with 18 points. She connected for five 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 2 free throws. Khw-Nylahi McKinnon added three 2-point baskets, and a free throw for 7 points. Azyriah Ford sank a 3-point basket and a free throw for 4 points. Zynijah Pernell connected for 4 points on two-2 point baskets. Jiana McGill had a 2-point basket and a free throw for 3 points. Jaleah Bethea and Nylann Jones each had a 2-point basket.
Crestwood’s A. Leach led her team with 13 points. She sank five 2-point baskets and 3 free throws. Charity Washington added 10 points with four 2-point baskets and 2 free throws. Diamond Covington had three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Zaire Ransom added 6 points with two 3-point baskets. Diamond Singleton added a 3-point basket. Taylor Johnson sank a free throw.
