The Dillon Kiwanis presented annual scholarships and awards on Friday, May 24, at the Dillon Kiwanis Michael S. Lecholop Park on the Ray Wilson Field on Julia Lane. Present for the ceremony was “Mr. Kiwanian” Lonnie Turner, the officers and members of the Dillon Kiwanis Club, the baseball players, families, and friends.
The Jason Blum “Never Quit Award” was presented to two players, one in the Major League and one in the Minor League, Cameron German and Ion McCall.
Scholarships were awarded to Brian Smith who will attend Charleston Southern, Brenden Miles who will attend St. Andrews University, Mason Lockamy who will attend Coastal Carolina University, and Ron Bracey who will attend Clemson University.
