Dillon Hands Waccamaw A 12-5 Loss

The Dillon Lady Wildcats handed the Waccamaw Lady Warriors a 12-5 loss in varsity conference softball in a game played at Pawley’s Island on Tuesday, April 8.
The Lady Wildcats placed 3 runs onto the scoreboard in the top of the first inning and added 3 runs in the top of the second inning to take a 6-0 lead. In the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Warriors scored 3 runs to cut the lead to 6-3. Neither team mustered a score in the fourth inning. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Waccamaw added 2 runs to cut the lead to 6-5. Dillon responded with 4 runs in the top of the sixth inning and 2 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim the 12-5 win.
Dillon connected for 11 hits in the game while holding Waccamaw to only 1 hit.
Dillon committed9 errors in the game, and Waccamaw committed 2 errors.
The 6-10 Dillon Lady Wildcats will host the Aynor Lady Blue Jackets on Thursday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m.
The 3-8 Waccamaw Lady Warriors will host the 9-1 Andrews, S.C., Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Thursday, April 10.
