Dillon Edges Wilson, 9-8

The Dillon Lady Wildcats edged the Wilson Lady Tigers 9-8 in a non-conference varsity softball game.
Wilson placed a run onto the scoreboard in the top of the first inning. Dillon responded with 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-1 lead. Dillon added a run n the bottom of the second inning. There was no score in the third and fourth innings. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Dillon added 4 runs. Wilson responded with a run in the top of the sixth inning. Dillon placed 2 runs onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead 9-2. In the top of the seventh inning, Wilson scored 6 runs.
Dillon connected for 17 hits, and Wilso had 10 hits. Wilson committed only 1 error, and Dillon did not commit an error.
Wilson’s Elon Mack pitched 6 innings and allowed 17 hits, 9 runs of which 6 were earned, walked 1, and struck out 5 of the 33 Dillon batters she faced..
Wilson’s Lauren Sehuke had 3 hits and scored 2 runs in 4 at-bats. Elon Mack had a home run, a single, 3 rbi, and scored a run. Zoey Miller had a hit, 2 walks, and scored 2 runs in 4 plate appearances. Madison Moses had a hit, 2 walks, a rbi, and score a run in 4 plate appearances. Makayla Gadson, Martina Taylor, and Sakura Jordan each had a hit.
The 8-13 Dillon Lady Wildcats will host the 3-14 Marlboro County Lady Bulldogs today, Tuesday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m.
The 6-7 Wilson Lady Tigers will host the 14-9 Darlington Lady Falcons on Wednesday, April 30.
