Dillon Defeats Wilson

The Dillon Wildcats defeated the Wilson Tigers 22-0 in Florence on Friday, September 6, in a misting rain.
Wilson kicked off to Dillon to begin the action. Unable to move the football, Dillon punted to place Wilson on their own 16-yard line.
Wilson was also unable to move the football and punted to give Dillon good field position on Dillon’s 48-yard line.
Jamarion Fling scored the 40-yard touchdown after the reception to give Dillon a 6-0 lead with 9:13 remaining in the first quarter. Stephen Rojas’ PAT was good. Dillon led 7-0.
Once again, the Tigers were forced to punt. Dillon had great field position on Wilson’s 37-yard line.
Jamarion Fling’s reception and carry placed Dillon on Wilson’s 10-yard line. Dillon attempted a field goal that came up short.
After the first quarter of play, Dillon led 7-0.
Dillon’s JoTavious McCallister intercepted a Wilson pass. After a carry by Jamarion Fling, Dillon faced a second down and goal from the 8-yard line. Dillon’s offense settled for a field goal to increase the lead to 10 points. The Dillon Wildcats were up 10-0 with 10:31 remaining in the first half.
The Wilson Tigers returned the kickoff to their own 33-yard line. Wilson faced a fourth down. Wilson’s #88 bobbled the football and had to run instead of punting the football. Dillon took over on Wilson’s 30-yard line with great field position. Jamarion Fling rushed for a 17-yard touchdown. The PAT was no good. Dillon was up 16-0 with 7:31 remaining in the second quarter.
The Tigers returned the kickoff to their own 39-yard line but were unable to move the football. Wilson’s #88 punted. Dillon took over on their own 36-yard line.
After a ruled incomplete pass in the end zone, Dillon’s Rahmond Hamilton kept for a 4-yard TD with 22.3 seconds remaining in the first half. The PAT was no good. Dillon led 22-0 at halftime.

Dillon kicked off to Wilson to begin the second half with Wilson on Dillon’s 46-yard line.
Neither team scored in the second half.
Dillon’s Rahmond Hamilton completed 8 of 17 passes for 118 yards and 1 touchdown. Jamarion Fling had 4 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown. Ejan Green had 2 receptions for 13 yards. Zephaniah Campbell had a reception for 12 yards. Daquavious Williams had a reception for -4 yards.
Wilson competed 4 of 11 passes for 24 yards and 1 interception.
Dillon’s Jamarion Fling rushed 14 times for 56 yards and a touchdown. Jalen McGill rushed 6 times for 31 yards. Domanick Felton rushed 1 time for 6 yards. Rahmond Hamilton rushed 2 times for 5 yards. Noah Singletary rushed 3 times for -4 yards.
Wilson rushed 30 times for 33 yards.
Dillon’s Gabriel Lloyd had 4 tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 1 sack, and 4 tackles for a loss. Daniel Capehart had 3 tackles and 9 assisted tackles. Ja’Zier Walker had 2 tackles, 4 assisted tackles, and 1 tackle for a loss. Jamarion Fling had a tackle. Nigel Gillespie had a tackle and an assisted tackle. Dan Graves had a tackle and 2 assisted tackles. Zephaniah Campbell had a tackle and as assisted tackle. Keryien Brown had a tackle and 10 assisted tackles. Tamarien Rogers had a tackle, an assisted tackle, and a tackle for a loss. Azavion Deberry had an assisted tackle. Donterious Rogers, JoTavious McCallister, Noah Singletary, and Kelvion Manning each had 2 assisted tackles. Ejan Green, Dayshawn Adams, and Dontavius Tanksley each had an assisted tackle. Tristan Blue had 4 assisted tackles.
Dillon’s JoTavious McCallister recovered a fumble.
Dillon’s Keryien Brown returned a kickoff for 14 yards. Jamarion Fling returned 2 punts for a total of 38 yards. Jamarion Fling punted 3 times for a 28-yard average. Stephen Rojas had a field goal. He also kicked off 4 times for a total of 66 yards with the longest one for 36 yards.
Wilson completed 4 of 11 passes for 24 yards.
Dillon will host Marion on Friday, September 13, at 7:30 p.m.
