The Dillon Lady Wildcats defeated the Baptist Hill Lady Bobcats of Hollywood, S.C., 75-32 in tournament play at Manning High School on Friday, December 26.
Dillon led 13 to 6 after the first quarter of play. At halftime, Dillon was up 36-13. After 3 quarters of play, the Lady Wildcats led 56-28.
Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all scorers with 24 points. Davis had seven 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and 4 free throws. Khw-Nylahi McKinnon added 19 points with four 2-point baskets, two 3-point baskets, and connected on 5 of 6 free throw attempts. Jiana McGill had four 2-point baskets and sank 2 of 3 free throw attempts for 10 points. Azyriah Ford had two 2-point baskets and a free throw for 5 points. Zynijah Pernell had a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket for 5 points. Pilar Quick had a 2-point basket and was perfect at the free throw line for 2 free throws to add 4 points onto the scoreboard. Nylann Jones had two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Jaleah Bethea had a 2-point basket.
Makayla Mungin led the Lady Bobcats with 14 points. She had two 3-point baskets, three 2-point baskets, and 2 free throws. Rayven Washington had two 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket for 7 points. JahNaree Heyward two 2-point baskets and 2 free throws for 6 points. Journei Smalls had two 2-point baskets and a free throw for 5 points.
The 10-2 Dillon Lady Wildcats will face the 2-6 the Crestwood Lady Knights on Saturday, December 27, at 10:00 a.m. in tournament play at Manning High School.
The 5-5 Baptist Hill Lady Bobcats will face the 4-3 Belton-Honea Path Bears on Saturday, December 27, at 1:30 p.m. in tournament play at Manning High School.
