The Nail Technician Program at Dillon County Technology Center, under the leadership of Ms. Tabbie Bowen, recently took part in a heartwarming event that celebrated academic achievement in style. Seventeen dedicated nail technicians from the program visited Gordon Elementary School to treat 70 female students to complimentary gel manicures.
This special day of pampering was organized as a reward for the students who earned a spot on the honor roll for the second nine weeks of the school year. The incentive not only recognized the hard work and dedication of these young learners but also allowed them to enjoy a fun and confidence-boosting experience.
Ms. Bowen and her team transformed the space into a mini-salon, bringing smiles, color, and creativity to the deserving students. The event served as a reminder of the impact that community involvement and positive reinforcement can have on young learners.
