Dillon County Station Two responded at 4:22 p.m. to 4607 S. Highway 301 (Signode) for a fire alarm activation showing a water flow from the sprinkler system.
Engine 2 arrived on scene with smoke showing from an approximately 120,000 sq foot manufacturing facility. Command was established and requested mutual aid due to a working fire. The sprinkler system kept the fire in check until crews could make sure the fire was extinguished. After ventilation efforts and all fire was extinguished, the building was then turned back over to the Plant staff.
