Dillon County Fire Station Two Gives Mutual Aid At Brush Fire In Marion County

At approximately 4:00 p.m., Dillon County Fire was requested to respond as mutual aid to a brush fire in Marion County.
Brush-2 responded to the scene with three firefighters. The fire was placed under control, and our unit was subsequently released from the scene.
Following the incident, crews were adjusted to allow some volunteers to return to Latta, while Dillon County Fire covered Marion City as they continued operations.
Approximately 20 minutes later, Brush-2 responded to another fire alongside Marion Rural Volunteer Fire Department, and Tanker-2 was requested to assist. This fire was deemed contained, with the South Carolina Forestry Commission on scene handling mitigation.
It is always beneficial to maintain strong working relationships with our mutual aid departments.
