Dillon Christian School Wins 69-41 Over Williamsburg Academy; Jackson Outlar Breaks School Record

The Dillon Christian School Warriors won 69-41 over the Williamsburg Academy Stallions in varsity basketball action played in Kingstree, S.C., on Tuesday, January 28.
After the first quarter of play, the game was knotted at 16. At halftime, the Warriors led 29-23. After 3 quarters of play, Dillon Christian School was up 56-33.
The Warriors’ Jackson Outlar needed only 18 points to break the school record for points scored by an individual while playing basketball. Outlar scored 27 points to give him a total of 1, 327 points, and he has at least 4 more games to play! Outlar had seven 3-point baskets and three 2-point baskets. Thompson Stone added 18 points with four 3-point baskets, two 2-point baskets, plus he was perfect at the charity line with 2 free throws on 2 attempts. Reese Bracey added four 2-point baskets for 8 points. McKinnon Sampson also placed 8 points onto the scoreboard with two 3-point baskets and a 2-point basket. Jordan Blackmon had three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Braxton Cummings sank a 2-point basket.
Williamsburg Academy’s Marlin Morris led the Stallions with six 2-point baskets. Ethan Jones had 9 points. He had two 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 2 free throws. Charlie Caulder added three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Michael Ard and Hall Dukes each had two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Ethan Morris had a 2-point basket and 2 free throws for 4 points. Connor Morris added a 2-point basket.
Dillon Christian School will travel to Christian Academy on Friday, January 31. The JV teams will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by the varsity girls and the varsity boys.
Williamsburg Academy will travel to Pee Dee Academy on Friday, January 31, for a 7:30 p.m. game.
