The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors lost a heartbreaker 27-26 to the Conway Christian Eagles in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Monday, December 16.
With 6:05 remaining in the first half, Dillon trailed Conway 12-8. Dillo Christian School tied the score at 12 with 1:13 remaining in the first half. By halftime, Dillon was up 16-12.
In the third quarter, Conway Christian got ahead of Dillon but Dillon knotted the score at 16 with 3:44 remaining. After 3 quarters of play, Dillon held a slim 2-point lead, 19-17, over Conway Christian.
In the fourth quarter, the score went back and forth. Dillon led 26-23 in the waning moments of the game. However, with only 33 seconds left in the game, Conway went up 27-26 to take the win.
Dillon Christian School will host Southeastern Academy on Thursday, December 19, at 5:00 p.m.
Conway Christian will host SCA on Tuesday, January 7, at 5:00 p.m.
