The Dillon 8U softball team came up short in the bid for the championship held in Lake View at the Recreation Fields on Monday, June 10.
The games began on Friday, June 7, with several teams in the event.
The Dillon 8U team played 9 games in the tournament. Dillon’s #9 pitched all of the games.
On Monday, Dillon defeated North Myrtle Beach 6-2 before facing Conway for the title. The Dillon team lost 3-0 in the final contest but will go to the state tournament.
