Crestwood Hands Dillon A 70-29 Loss

The Crestwood Knights of Sumter, S.C. handed the Dillon Wildcats a 70-29 loss in Sumter on Wednesday, December 11, in varsity basketball.
The Knights jumped out to a 32-3 lead after the first quarter of play and continue to score 21 points in the second quarter of play while holding Dillon to 16 points to have a 53-19 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter of play, Crestwood scored 10 points, and Dillon scored 5 points. In the final quarter, Dillon managed 5 points while Crestwood scored 7 points.
Dillon’s Zamaurious Robertson led the Wildcats with 10 points. He connected for two 2-point baskets and two 3-point baskets. Rahmond Hamilton added 5 points with two 2-point baskets and a free throw. Jamarion Fling sank two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Kyheim Lester sank a 3-point basket. Jafari Jones, Michael Williams, and Jazier Walker each added 2 points with a 2-point basket. Ejan Green had a free throw.
Thirteen players from Crestwood contributed to the scoring for the Knights. Crestwood’s Tindal led all scorers with 12 points. He sank three 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 3 free throws. Johnson added two 3-point baskets and two 2-point baskets for 10 points. Davis, #2, hit three 3-point baskets to place 9 points onto the scoreboard. Shaw added two 2-point baskets and a 3-point basket for 7 points. Jones connected for three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Davis, #10, had a 3-point basket and a 2-point basket for 5 points. Durant had a 2-point basket and 2 free throws for 4 points. Richardson sank two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Bennett sank two 2-point baskets for 4 points. Williams and Burgess each hit a 3-point basket. Alston added a 2-point basket. Taylor sank a free throw.
Dillon will travel to Conway on Friday, December 13. The Wildcats will also travel to Marion on Saturday, December 14. From December 18-21, Dillon will participate in the Robeson County Shootout.
Crestwood will travel to TCHS on Friday, December 13, for a 7:30 p.m. game. On Tuesday, December 17, Crestwood will host South Florence at 7:30 p.m.
